MYSTERY DORE WESTBURY MILLMODEL ENGINEERING NORGE. over two years ago i bought what i thought was a dore westbury mk1 milling machine from the 1960`s. it has been in storage since but when i brought it over to my new workshop and examined it more closely, i noticed that it had several unusual features that made it difficult to place it in the correct category.
#0183;#32;I built a DoreWestbury in about 1976 from the kit pre machined parts. I still have it although it is now dismantled. The head has bean mounted on a Tom Senior M1 milling machine and the base has been used to make a small surface grinder. I have modified the head to use polyvee belts with an inverter controlled motor.
